Statement on CAA Protests

If I were to remain silent, I’d be guilty of complicity.
-Albert Einstein

The Political Science Association of Wilson College expresses shock and dismay at the violence meted out by law enforcement agencies against the students of Jamia Millia Islamia, AMU and several other eminent institutions, who are protesting against the Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019.
We extend solidarity with the students who are protesting against what they believe to be injustice and vehemently condemns the brute force and inhuman violence inflicted upon them by the police.
By using force on those peacefully protesting, law enforcement agencies are subverting the Constitution itself which guarantees the Right to Protest and Freedom of Expression to all Indian citizens.
