Know The States and Union Territories - Series

The Political Science Association & Sociology Department, Wilson College had conducted 'Know the States and Union Territories🇮🇳' Series in January 2021.


We tried to cover some interesting facts of our Incredible India for 31 days. Every State and Union Territory has its uniqueness and diversity, which we tried to cover through our series. 

We also shared articles which covered various aspects ranging from geography, achievements, history, state disputes, political movements, economic performance, trade balances and much more.

This series was helpful in expanding our knowledge about our country and its rich heritage.

We are also overwhelmed with the support and interest shown for the series. Your support keeps us going!

To continue the impact of the series, on 02 February 2021, PSA along with the Sociology Department had circulated a Quiz based on the series. The questions were on the pointers and links shared through the 31 days.

Film Screening The Unreserved Time : 4:00 to 5:30 pm  Date : 14th December 2021  The Unreserved: People's lives and their Conversation.     The documentary, which is directed by Samarth Mahajan, has won the National Award for Best Audiography in the year 2018, and also premiered at the Film South Asia.     'Unreserved', is the first feature-length documentary of Samarth Mahajan, which includes the lives and stories of working-class travelling passengers in the Unreserved Indian Railway Compartments. It was a journey of 17 days across India in 10 different departments.     The movie started with an 81-year-old man performing various Yogas, beyond our scope of imagery. He was also mimicking the sounds of various domestic animals and female crying voices.
